The Water Element in Feng Shui
One of my clients wants to build a house. She’s smart. Before her builder puts the first stake in the ground she asked me to determine:
- Will this be a good house for her?
- Is it going to make her money?
- Is it going to keep her healthy?
- Is it going to fulfill on the next leg of her career?
Feng shui can help her determine all of that.
Of the five feng shui elements I measure (wood, fire, earth, metal, and water) water is key in adding well-being and prosperity to your environment.
The Energy of Water in Feng Shui
Water is vital for our existance.
Making sure that all of the elements are showing up in the right way, will impact you and your environment in a positive way.
If the water is pure and clean, and has a proper justification to the land, we’re off to a good start.
From its very beginning — over 5,000 years ago — water has been one of the most important elements in feng shui. The ancient Chinese looked at water quality to determine if a site would help the tribe to continue to grow and prosper.
Today, when I’m asked to bring feng shui into a home, I look at where the house is positioned in relation to the water supply. This gives me a sense for the lack of, or abundance of chi (life force) already present.
Just suppose that everything is made up of energy. There’s not just one or two energies — there’s gazillions! Thanks to feng shui, we have the ability to delve into the mystery of our environments, and understand how that relates to the mystery of our bodies, and the mystery of our planet, and see how that all works together.
The Benefits of Good Water
Good water attracts fish. It also attracts things that live in good water which gives us even more food to eat. Things like shellfish, salmon or tuna.
Water provides all this, and so much more, which is why feng shui practitioners measure the water element using special tools that measure the quality of earth, and the sand, too.
Best Home Placement
To have a beautiful home that supports your needs and desires, a feng shui expert can tell you where to place your house. It will depend upon the location, plus the kind of chi present.
There are no hard and fast rules because the best house placement is determined by many things. Water quality being one of them.
The feng shui expert will also determine where the front door should be, and what direction the windows should face. Other factors the expert will consider are what kind of flowers to add, and where, as well as what kinds of trees to plant, and their location to the house.
It’s like putting together a beautiful puzzle that’s constantly changing to support the people and their environment today, and for years to come.
Water Attracts Prosperity
Water attracts the kind of energies that are productive and active. When water energies are clean there’s prosperity all around. Prosperity is not always limited to money.
To locate where the water energies are, and where more are needed, I use a tool called the Lo Pan. This compass is modeled on the 5,000 year old Xuan Kong Fei Xing Feng Shui system.
Water energies can be added to environments that need water energies. Adding the color of water is one way. So are indoor and outdoor fountains, a swimming pool, and even a fountain in a swimming pool.
Water has to be in all the right places, which is why putting in a bubbling fountain, or painting your room sea blue may not give you the outcome you are seeking.
Flying Star System
Whether you’re aware of it or not, you experience a visceral reaction walking to an environment. Ask yourself, how many times have you entered a house or structure and thought, ‘Oh this doesn’t feel good,’ or, ‘this doesn’t feel right.’
It’s possible to shift a ‘not-great feeling,’ using the Flying Star System.
Master Yu taught me this system, and I’ve used it for over 20 years. I have also taught it to others who are getting extraordinary results.
For people who want to learn the very basics of Flying Star Feng Shui and how to use it in their homes and offices, where to place water elements, and more, I will soon be offering courses on this.
If you’d like to know when my courses will be offered, please give me your name and email address below so I can update you, and send you more information as the time comes near.
